Tires Plus in Orlando tries to charge me over $700 for a break job and power steering

I went over to Tires Plus in Orlando on South Conway road because my brakes happen to be going down a little further then usual. I figured I could get some new brake pads or shoes for $99 since I use to hear those commercials for just brakes on the radio. Well, after letting them take a look at the car for an hour or so, something I was charged for. The guy named Will comes and says if I want to take care of everything brakes and even the power steering which they noticed needed some replacement hose, the total would be almost $700. I threw up in my mouth and left. Who really has the audacity to try to rip someone off that much? I don't care if they think it's what they have to charge because they have a lease on a building that is probably 10k a month and they have to screw the customer because of this, but damn! I ended up taking it to a friend of a friend and the parts in which Tires Plus said would $338, only cost him $20 something at Discount Auto Parts. I gave him a $100 and bought him lunch and I got it done for under $150 compared to almost $700. :glasses: :party:
